Solár is a cinematic post-rock band from Stockholm. Their music moves between the grand, cinematic scale of film scores and the raw energy of bands like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Swans, and Pink Floyd.
Since forming, the band has focused on building exploratory sounds to tell stories and transport the listener to another world. Their 2022 debut album, Atlas, is a balance of dark atmospheres and heavy, progressive shifts.
Solár's approach is rooted in an artistic aesthetic, creating immersive, emotional music that feels both sophisticated and unpolished at the same time. Whether it's through quiet, ambient moments or sudden walls of sound, Solár is about taking the listener somewhere else.
